Prior to my time at Whittier College I briefly tutored a small number of students on the subject of statistics. Statistics was the first math related class that I not only enjoyed but exceled at. Coincidentally, while I was studying at Rio Hondo College, the students I tutored were almost exclusively Whittier College Students.

As passionate as I am about Psychology the majority of my freetime is spent playing video games. This hobby of mine is what motivated me to join the Creative Arts Technology school. In this program I learned important creative elements and aspects in graphic design, computer graphics, video game design, 3D & 2D animation, as well as visual effects. Through personal projects I utilized and gained proficiency with programs such as Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.

As a part of my senior presentation, my self and two other class mates worked on creating a digital story about a non profit organization that interests us. All three of us unanimously chose to make our presentation about the Planned Parenthood organization. I deeply support Planned Parenthood and its goal of providing affordable but quality healthcare for all Americans. In our video presentation we discuss multiple aspects of Planned Parenthood ranging from its purpose, its strengths, as well as how the organization can improve as a whole.

I hardly spend time anymore on creative writing. However, many years ago I would spend some of my free time writing poetry. I was no poet but I enjoyed using it as a creative outlet. Regardless of my confidence in my poetry I decided to submit my work in a competition which resulted in my work being published in a nationally recognized literature magazine. Though I am no longer proud of my work, I am at the very least proud that for the first time I put myself and my work out there for others to see
